Ring“Good Luck”?2022 Material: Resin, Brass gold-plated, Incense 9cm×5.5cm×4.5cm The traditional Chinese way of praying is to light incense. Incense ash will be produced when burning incense, and a unique fragrance will be soothing anxiety. The "Good Luck" ring is a piece of work in The 'Anxiety Relief Set' series, which can relieve anxiety during the epidemic by interacting with the wearer through sight and smell. The 'Anxiety Relief Set' is a series of five jewellery pieces. Bringing traditional Chinese rituals into my jewellery practice, I reveal the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic had on our mental health. Combining my design sensibilities and cultural background I propose ways to relieve anxiety, loneliness and feelings of self-isolation. My work interacts with the viewer in a personal way. I believe a work of art is only as good as the audience's involvement and empathy.
