About

Hi i'm Yijun, i'm an image maker, print designer. I love to get inspirations from music, nature and mood.

I hope my work can make you feel and see.

Mood always inspires me in every way, the moment hearing a song, the moment watching a movie, the moment falling in love with a person…... do not forget love, do not forget the beauty of how we feel at every moment with a primitive heart. This collection is a story inspired by different mood in love from light to dark. PART 1 I HEAR YOUR VOICE This part tells a story of lust for love, delusional, dreamy and chaotic love threading the atmosphere of dream pop music in the 90s and my own photographs of landscapes, flowers and plants which were taken by low resolution camera with strong flashlight. The light leak, blurred effect weaving watercolour drawings creates a world of ethereal love. PART 2 HOTEL 33 This part is about erotic, passionate and obsessions of love. Using colours like scarlet red indigo purple and black to reflect the feeling of fast heartbeat. I was inspired by the cinematography of movies like in the mood for love and the doom generation which are about intimate and sexual relationships. Also, the interior design of hotel rooms, semi-transparent curtains shows a feel of voyeurism which inspired me to bring the element of beautiful nude female body in this part. PART 3 MELANCHOLY BLUE This part tells a story of melancholy feeling when love ends inspired by empty rooms and objects such as chairs without people sitting on. Using cold tone colours like navy blue and blck to reflect the emptiness and the feeling of numb inside heart.
