Tina is a fashion design graduate specialising in womenswear and knitwear. In her work, she often draws experiments from various textile techniques such as knitting, felting, but the also the craft of tailoring. The selection of materials is an important part of her work, which is based not only on her personal preferences but also on various principles of ecological sustainability. In her creations she often explores imaginary archetypes to push the boundaries of traditional notions of beauty and “appropriate” clothing. She strives to create something that we are not collectively accustomed to, in order to contribute to the societal progress that she personally is longing for.
The bachelor’s collection "Like Fine Vessels" draws from the cultural history of the Central European region to reinterpret its value for the present. It is inspired by archaeological finds from prehistoric and antique times. Its primary aim is to capture the sense of mystery and enigma associated with 5,000-year-old utilitarian objects. On a philosophical level, this work contemplates the poetry of material culture, questioning its role in human history. The pieces in the collection are crafted using original techniques: asymmetrical cuts or knitted and felted textures. The silhouettes are designed in two main ways: one is based on the imaginary archetype of a modern magician, and the other draws inspiration from the shapes and details of archaeological finds. Principles of ecological sustainability are applied in the selection of natural materials and in collaboration with local artisans.
