She is a recent graduate in product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. Her interests focus on the field of design related to emotions. Through the work with ceramics, she explores the influence of food on our environment, culture, human consciousness and relationships.
Beyond being a designer, she devotes herself to painting, as it is an important part of her creative work.
The project was inspired by the Polish food fermentation culture. It presents the practice of food preservation in a new light, as a way to introduce dietary changes, increase consumer awareness and understand the relationships between organisms in our ecosystem. The set consists of three ceramic vessels with dedicated lids: the first one for the fermentation of vegetables and fruits, second one for fermented drinks and the last one for dairy products. A water pan, included in every dish, enables hermetic closure of the contents and extends its expiration date. An additional element of the project - raw cotton covers - have built-in pockets for activated carbon filter. Placed on the vessel, they protect the food from external impurities, eliminate the strong smell and provide air flow. The set aims to encourage the user to experiment with different fermentation techniques on a daily basis.
