I’m a graphic designer with a background in fine art and a passion for illustration-led storytelling. My work spans brand identity, packaging, editorial, and motion projects, always using tactile processes and clear narrative to bring ideas to life. I thrive on transforming brief into concept, whether through handcrafted typefaces, playful editorial spreads, or immersive storytelling for joint briefs like G.F. Smith’s live project. My creative process is grounded in research and texture: I keep a junk journal full of scraps, tickets, and snippets from travels around Manchester and beyond, this tactile storytelling often sparks my visual thinking. From UX prototyping to collaborative briefs and speculative museum identities, I bring curiosity, craft, and meaningful design to everything I create. My most recent and final project, a collaboration with Dalton Maag, features a Casa Ornato, a custom typeface inspired by Gaudi's Casa Vicens.
This project explores the connection between architecture and typography through a display typeface inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s first building, Casa Vicens. To echo the handcrafted spirit of Gaudí’s work, each letterform was sculpted in clay, resulting in a set of tiles and an alphabet series that reference the building’s facades, patterns, and motifs. Working with clay gave the typeface physical texture and form, which were then scanned and integrated into the project’s wider visual language.
