About
I am a passionate artisan woodworker from the west coast of Wales, taking my inspiration from the ever organic lines of the earths contours. Having grown up near rivers and the sea, naturally the imagery portrayed in my work derives from the flowing forms that water creates.
My goal is to make pieces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
Strata is a body of lighting that celebrates nature through materials and design. Inspired by the coastline of West Wales. Having grown up near rivers and the sea, naturally, the imagery portrayed in my work derives from the flowing forms that water creates. I aspire to emulate that feeling of calm that one finds by the water in my work and through the atmosphere that my lights generate. My lamps, crafted from layers of wood veneer, are designed with the aim of creating a warm comforting light that will illuminate spaces of connection; whether that be at home in the living room and above the dining table, or in cosy restaurants and cafes.
